For employees of multi-national companies who are being transferred by an overseas employer to a skilled job in the United Kingdom-based branch of the organisation.

Summary of Employer Requirements
|
|
If an organisation wishes to offer employment to people from outside the EEA/ EU under the terms of Tier 2 for Intra Company Transfers then it must first:
|

Register with the United Kingdom Border Agency and obtain a Sponsorship License
Issue a job offer and a Certificate of Sponsorship to the Intra Company Transferee

Summary of Intra Company Transferee Requirements
|
|
In order to gain entry into the United Kingdom under the terms of Tier 2 for Intra Company Transfers, The Intra Company Transferee must:
|
|
Have an offer of employment from its overseas employer who must also be a Licensed Sponsor in the United Kingdom and a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from that employer
Satisfy the Maintenance Requirement for his or herself and each dependent
Satisfy the English Language Requirement if applying to extend leave beyond 3 years
Gain 60 points or more in a Points Test which reflects the above and other factors such as academic qualifications and prospective earnings (70 points or more if the English Language Requirement is applicable)

The Points Test for Intra Company Transferees
|
|
You must have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship for which you score 30 points
You must satisfy the Maintenance Requirement for yourself and any dependants for which you score 10 points
If the English Language Requirement is applicable (if applying to extend leave beyond 3 years) then this must be satisfied which gains 10 points
You must obtain a total of 20 points from your academic qualifications and your prospective earnings in the United Kingdom from your employer as detailed below:

Academic Qualifications

You can score up to 15 points for your qualifications (select your highest qualification and get the points shown):
|
|
15 points: PhD
10 points: Bachelors or Masters degree
5 points: GCE A level or equivalent
|
Prospective Earnings
|
|
You can score a maximum of 20 points for the (annualised) earnings specified in your Certificate of Sponsorship:

|
20 points: GBP 24,000 +
15 points: GBP 22,000 to 23,999
10 points: GBP 20,000 to 21,999
5 points: GBP 17,000 to 19,999
|
